This is a big question for every mom who is homeschooling a child around age 5-6. And depending on your child’s birthday, you probably will homeschool kindergarten two years.
Baked Roots: Bake garnet yam, yellow fin or purple potato and keep in fridge. The combination of cold broccoli and yellow fins are one of my favorites! The garnet yams contain beta carotene, a good source of vitamin A.
Depending on what time of the day you’ll be meeting, and how many meals you are assembling, you may want to add a couple of frozen pizzas to the grocery list. Then half way through, you can break for lunch.
The biggest challenge we’ve faced with this new lifestyle is Meal Prep aration and kitchen duty. I called upon my experienced friend for some tips about how to “get it all done” including shopping, Meal Prep on a budget, clean-up and dishwashing. She suggested I invest in some good kitchen organizers. If everyone pitches in on a job or two and uses the kitchen organizers to quickly get their task completed, then we can all benefit. The burden won’t fall on any one person (usually mom).
You should always include at least one beloved dish into every week and play around with it. Make a favorite kind of stew one week and a favorite kind of pasta the next. You can also look for recipes with common ingredients. This will help you avoid buying small amounts of many ingredients. If you buy in larger quantities, it will be less expensive. Find new recipes from books or websites to serve in between your rotating meals.
First, use a calendar to schedule everything you need to do each day. Don’t leave anything out. Schedule your shower, your workout, each meal (including time for meal prep), your appointments, and your study time.
After all, you’re busy. But, you can find solutions to help make your busy lives easier and possibly help the bank balance as well. The evening meal is also the ultimate way to bond your household and chat about the day. So, don’t spend what is quality time toiling in the kitchen, make use of quick and easy dinner tactics to make home-made family dishes.
